On June 9th, 1993 after 10 years of trying to purchase this Green 1970 BOSS 429 Mustang, finally became reality. Then only to find out that there was 14 years of back taxes on the ca because the previous owner had not bothered to take in to our Licence Dept. the licence plates, which represents that this car was the 255th car registered on our roads.
I still have these plates and after being cleaned up, deemed to be in readable condition.
It took a 1969 MACH I with 36,000 documented miles for the previous owner to trade this Green BOSS 429 for. I have since given this car a total concourse restoration, and have been told that not only was the grabber green color rare, but with an "A" block motor was even rarer.
I am the 6th owner of this 1970 HEMI with only 43,000 documented miles. This complete concourse resto would not have been possible if not for the professional assistance of Mr. Jeff Sneathon of Semo Mustang, Inc. in his assistance in finding the harder components of this rare Mustang. As a matter of interest, how many colours were offered in 1970 BOSS Mustangs and the number of the Grabber Green cars painted?
